FTCA - History, Mission, and Vision

History

Faith Training opened its doors in the fall of 2003. We started as a Pre-K through 7th grade school and added a grade each year. We had our first graduating class in 2009. We continue to graduate seniors who go on to successful college and career experiences.

We are state-approved and our seniors can qualify for the Taylor Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS). Our seniors attend college throughout the state, and some have attended Baylor and Pensacola Christian College. Several of our students have joined various military branches.

Athletically, we are a part of the Association of the Christian Educators of Louisiana (ACEL). Since 2010, we have won three girls state championships in basketball, one boys state championship in basketball, three state championships in softball, a state championship in girls’ track, and a runner-up in boys’ track.

We compete at the Regional Literary Rally at Louisiana College and the State Literary Rally at Louisiana State University. Several students have placed in the top four in the state state, while a couple have placed first place at state competition.

Mission

The Mission of Faith Training Christian Academy is to glorify God by assisting parents in the training and equipping of their children to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives, thus glorifying God and impacting our culture.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Vision

Our vision at Faith Training is to:

  • Increase the Kingdom of God

  • Teach from a Biblical worldview

  • Promote high academic standards

  • Develop a school culture that is edifying, nurturing and inspiring

  • Teach the morals and values of the Christian faith

Most of all, we desire to be evangelistic in nature, drawing people to our school in order that Jesus may transform lives.
