for the 2022-2023 school year begins

I just wanted to stop by and leave a review of FTCA, the school I attended from 1st grade all the way to graduation. My time at FTCA was filled with wonderful staff, an engaging curriculum, and opportunities for academic and spiritual growth. Since graduating from FTCA, I have additionally graduated from McNeese State University and have become an RN (Registered Nurse) with my Bachelor’s degree in nursing. FTCA laid the foundation for me to be equipped to pursue my academic and professional career, and I would recommend this school to any parents wanting to raise their kids in a faith-filled and academically-rich environment.

When the Army brought our family to JRTC at Fort Polk, we never dreamed what a blessing we would find through FTCA. Working as a fourth grade teacher under Mrs. Reese's leadership continues to be one of my favorite professional highlights. She inspires her team through excellence and spiritual guidance. On many occasions I saw her administrative gifts at work when dealing with parents, students, and fellow staff. She treats everyone who comes through her office with dignity and respect, always balancing firmness with grace, and always with a smile.

As a parent, we loved our experience at FTCA for our 5th, 7th, and 9th graders. The teachers create such a nurturing and supportive environment inside and outside of the classroom through chapel, sports, and clubs. As a military family we appreciated FTCA's four day school week, affording us the gift of family time. By keeping classes small, our kids felt truly known and valued--something not always easy to come by as the chronic "new kids." The mission of the school supports a strong partnership with service member families which is truly a gift.

FTCA welcomed our family with open arms and helped us all grow in wisdom and truth during our tenure in Leesville. We will continue to carry with us for years to come the wonderful memories and connections we made at Faith Training.

Fourth grade teacher and school parent

We all want the best education for our children. When I found out we were moving to Fort Polk, I searched Louisiana school ranking. I found out that Louisiana ranks 50/51 in the United States in education Public School Rankings By State 2021 ( .  This worried me- what would we do about schools?

Luckily, I found Faith Training. They let us do a tour and a pre-visit and I was comforted by the knowledge and kindness of the administration. They opened the classrooms to allow our children to see the school, and the teachers were welcoming throughout our first visit.  Faith Training exceeded all our expectations.

After two full school years at Faith Training, my kids know Jesus and the Bible better than they ever have- even through a pandemic! Faith Training made God the center of my kid’s lives. The plans for each academic class were well communicated to parents, and the homework allowed us to be involved in our kid’s classes.

When we moved to Kansas, both my kids scored in the 98th percentile on ALL standardized tests. I was amazed. I know it is because of the quality education they received at Faith. I truly tell everyone who asks about Fort Polk that Faith Training was the best thing to happen to our family in Louisiana.
